General Awareness test is a part of every competitive exam for jobs. Those who apply for jobs, must be aware of all the happenings around him especially on national & international level. How to Prepare for Job Interview / More

You should take care of the following things while preparing for the interview :

1.Carry a folder in which you put all your important documents like Call letter, resume, cover letter, diploma, degree etc which you think will be required. Don’t forget to carry 2- 3 copies of each.

2.Do good research of the organization in which you are going for the interview. This you can easily find on internet. Try to know about their history, products, achievements etc. This will give a good impression of yours in front of them.

3.Always wear something very decent which suits you. Too modern or too geeky type gives a bad impress. It should be little professional. This best you wear, the more confidence you will feel.

4.Reach the interview venue 1 hr earlier to the time allotted to you. This will give you time to relax. Also if possible try to visit the place earlier also. This will help you in worse situation & you will know about theexact time you need to reach there so that you are not late.

5.Show yourself calm. Feel & look confident. Always sit erect. Greet the interviewers after entering.

6.Always think before speak. Speak in English with no grammatical mistake. Don’t try to show off about your English. Be polite to them. Don’t use difficult words whose meaning is difficult to understand.

7.After the interview, thanks every one, stand patiently & walk slowly towards the door. Don’t show your hurry. All this is also noted in interview.

How to Prepare for Group Discussion / More

Group discussion is not a common procedure in public sector bank exams but it is of great importance in private sector bank exam, civil service exams & other competitive exams.

1. GD are generally held to know about the candidate’s communication skills, managing & analytical skills & his way of handling the issues. In this, a group of 5 – 8 candidates is made by the authority & a common topic is given. You have to say your own views on that topic.

2. For GD, one must be aware of all the current affairs so that you can put your view easily & comfortably. For these, you must read newspaper, GK books & magazines regularly & should update oneself about the banking industry, worldwide etc.

3. Generally, those who start the discussion have a privilege over the others as you have lot to say. But if you are not sure about the topic, don’t even try to start. It will give a bad impression of yours.

4. Speak in English with no grammatical mistake. Always try to speak in slow speed so that you don’t make any mistake. Also your voice should be loud enough so that everyone hears it properly & also it depicts your confidence level.

5. Always listen to what other say during GD. Otherwise, you may end up repeating the same views which may give a wrong impression of yours.

1. Always try to apply through the internet Explorer browser as many banks create the software only for IE browser. Though some of the application form format opens in other browser also but it is always good to apply in this.
2. Most of the registration page of the bank expires in 15 minutes. If you cannot complete in that given time, it is often written that the session expired. So try to complete within 15 mins. Also you must make sure that all the certificates, payment voucher etc. is available with you at that time.
3. Pay attention not to make any mistake. Be calm & cool while applying. Don’t be in a hurry in filling fast. This often leads to mistakes & can lead to rejection of application form later on.
4. Remember the Email ID & Password which you have filled in the application form. If you don’t have, make one. This is important as all the information regarding the exam details, admit card, call letter etc will be send at the given Email ID.
5. Don’t ever wait for the last date to fill the application form. It is often found that most of the candidates apply on last date. As a result of which there is extra load on the server which tends to site being down. At last it may happen that you can’t apply & the date for postal submission if any, also has gone. This can lead to missing a great opportunity.
